How to transfer printed images

unto canvas or gessoed paper 

 

 

 

 

 

Supplies

 

Canvas or gessoed paper

Gel medium

Paint brush

Image to transfer

A water filled spray bottle

A roller ( not compulsary)

 

 

 

 

 

Remember, your image will print reversed.

Cover your canvas heavily with gel medium or the area where you are planning to transfer the image. Press the photocopy onto the canvas ( here I have used a roller but a rag will do ) and let it dry or use hairdryer if you are impatient like me. Rub the surface carefully with your fingers  until pieces of the paper start coming off revealing your image .spray water lightly to remove the last bits of paper. Cover and seal you image with mod podge or gel medium.
